Getting to Rishikesh

Rishikesh is reachable from Delhi by air, by bus and by train. Can arrange for you to be picked up from station or airport - or indeed from Delhi or other Indian cities we will be very happy to arrange this.

If you are arriving from a long international flight, Rishikesh is an ideal location to recuperate and relax. There are several daily flights from Delhi to Jolly Grant Airport which is situated between Dehradun and Rishikesh - nearer to Rishikesh. It is an easy transfer from the international to the domestic terminal in Delhi IGI, then a 45 minute flight to Jolly Grant Airport and a 30-40 minute car journey from there to Seventh Heaven.

Buses to Rishikesh from Delhi take about seven hours and leave every half an hour and there are direct buses from many places including Jaipur, Pushkar, Chandigarh, Agra, etc as well as connections on to Almora, Nainital, Shimla, Dharamsala, etc.

By train there are several connections every day from Delhi, the speediest taking just over 4 hours. The faster trains come into Haridwar or Dehra Dun - Haridwar is about an hour from here, Dehra Dun about an hour and a half. There are connections to most major Indian cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Varanasi, Allahabad, Kolkata, Dharamsala (Pathankot), Lucknow, Gorakhpur, Amritsar, Indore, Ujjain and Chennai. There is also an overnight train (with sleeper berths) from Jaipur which leaves Jaipur late evening and arrives in Haridwar about mid-morning.
